I’ve been meaning to write a ‘Blogababble’ installment but haven’t had the time, until now. So back in October 12 of this year, I wrapped up the first season of ‘Welcome To The Dissidents’ in which I still have not received any reception from but I’ll let it wait till it finds an audience. ‘Welcome To The Dissidents’ will come back soon, I just haven’t thought of how the story will continue, but it will come back sometime in January or next summer or fall. Now that I have time I’m going to publish some short stories, some will be newly conceived while others would be stories that I wrote back in High School that need light shun on them as well as posting new submissions from a friend known as ‘Kenny Stark Udar’, so if you liked ‘Os Immortale’ and ‘A Life’, well there’s plenty more to come. Me and Junette are devising a new dark noir mini-series as we speak, no plot synopsis or characters will be spoken of. This is a story we really really want to be hidden under wraps, it’s all apart of surprising and shocking our audience, something Hollywood is too stupid to do. So stay tuned for short stories, a few submissions (If any of you are willing to send some) and maybe I’ll do some ‘Blogababble’ and a few ‘Dance Hall’ entries.
Next topic here, Hunger Games! Well, let’s just say my opinion of the franchise is much too different from the rest of the people’s stance on it so if you are a fan & can’t stand opinions then stop reading. I thought the first book was a solid book, the hunger games competition was perfectly told as a metaphor for ‘Reality T.V’ and works as a satirical piece which I like; the film adaptation on the other hand throws that away and tells the audience “Don’t think, don’t think just watch our CGI explosions and CGI Katniss Dress.” I don’t full on hate the film, I think the casting was epic: Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks all did their best but the directing of the violence and the transfer from page to screen did not work as well. You have the most epic fight in the starting of the hunger games which worked on full effect with it’s brutal description of young people killing themselves all censored by shaky camerawork which to me just says “We can’t show that type of violence because we‘re pussies, think of the children!!” A little side rant here, the 1980 and 90’s had way worse violence depicted in a PG and PG-13 film, calm the fudge down. Overall I was cheated coming out of the cinema and the sequel is going to be released sometime this week (I think) which is something I for sure as hell am not going out of my way to see, nor am I psyched about it. The first film cheated me so badly that I stopped reading the second book, but also the second book had horrid grammar mistakes, more than the first.
Star Wars…I’m still bummed that Lucas (That freeloader) sold all of his Star Wars rights to Disney, the company that’s bringing us terrible live action sitcoms and horrid teen music. But I’m not too bummed out now that the right people are working on the 7th sequel. First off you have J.J Abrams on set with directing (I’m not sure if he opted out or he’s still going to direct), then there’s the deal where they want the film to be shot on 75mm cameras which is much too different from today’s films which are shot on digital. Lucas is not writing the screenplay, I’m unsure who’s writing the story but it’s not Lucas with his ‘Meesa Meesa’ Jar Jar Racist Binks’. Miniature Effects, the film might be done with all practical effects as well as using minature models for the space ships and architecture which I’m such a Miniature whore. That there’s my dream job, I would love to work on minatures whether it be building them or blowing them up as well as writing for a living. Although the film franchise I’ve loved as a child is under the label of a shitty corporation, had three terrible prequels and tons of horrid remastered editions, I do have hope for what will be the 7th installment of Star Wars.
Psycho Pancake! Well for our 10th episode/ comic strip installment I’ve thought up of a perfect multiple page epic in which I’ll say the synopsis here, Psycho Pancake travels to South Korea with a vengeance when he finds out K-Pop singer Gangam Psy’s music had (only in a psycho pancake story would we get away with this) ear rapes him. I planned it to be half comedy, half satire, half lo brow and half action packed where the bullets fly and we get disrespectful with life in this tale. But the thing is I want to see how many fans or interest there is for ‘Psycho Pancake’ so I am planning to see if people would work for that comic. I’m planning it to send it directly to the fan if they complete my task, all I need now is a task anyone can do without feeling left out. I will keep you all up to date so if you aren’t a Psycho Pancake fan now, you got time to keep up and also you’ll catch up since Psycho Pancake tales are mainly a page or two page strips. Also stay tuned to see if you want in on my little ‘Sweepstakes’.
So that’s about it and we did not get any soda for this. Bye bye for now internet people/ literate crowd/ art people/ single people with lots and lots of cats/ Morrisey fans!! I’ll see you guys next time.
